The YWCA operates four facilities: Northeast Intown YWCA, Phyllis Wheatley YWCA, Cascade House, and the Administrative Resource Center. These sites support the delivery of our three core programs: Childhood Education (NAEYC-accredited), Teens on the Rise, and Women In Transition.
Our programs seek to provide families with safe and affordable childhood education; encourage high-quality learning in children ages 6 weeks to 12 years; empower teens ages 12 – 18 to make healthy and positive decisions and to matriculate to college through peer education, innovative theater, art, and technology training programs; and facilitate economic self-sufficiency for homeless women and their children through comprehensive residential transitional services.
By joining the YWCA in the movement to eliminate racism and empower women, you will serve as an important advocate in ensuring:
- At least one child receives a quality early start on learning—regardless of her or his economic background.
- At least one metro Atlanta teen completes high school, matriculates to college, and learns the life and career skills necessary to be successful as an adult.
- At least one homeless woman attains a safe place to receive food and shelter while learning the skills necessary to promote self-sufficiency for her and her family.
- Amazing and dynamic women throughout Atlanta are recognized every year for their achievements and contributions and encouraged to inspire the dreams of others.
