Justines Story
While serving concurrently on the YWCA Board of Directors and as past president of the Atlanta Fulton County League of Women's Voters, Boyd created and co-sponsored the renowned Fireside Chats with WSB-TV, and in 2002, spearheaded the development of
" Atlanta Women Speaks," a thoughtful and provocative collection of speeches by some of Atlanta's most prominent women. Book proceeds benefit the YWCA of Greater Atlanta.

Justine Boyd has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Greater Atlanta effective January 3, 2005. Justine had served as interim CEO of the organization since September 13, 2004, providing strategic oversight of key YWCA initiatives. She has a long history with the YWCA including serving four years on the YWCA's Board of Directors prior to assuming the interim role.
Before assuming the interim position with the YWCA, Justine served as Assistant General Manager for External Affairs for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and County Clerk for the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
Justine is active in a number of Atlanta-area organizations and serves on the boards of the following organizations: Georgia 4-H Foundation, UGA College of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences (Chair), Coalition of 100 Black Women (Chair), Women Looking Ahead News Magazine, Atlanta Women's Network, the Fulton County Workforce Development, and Boy Scouts of America Atlanta Area Council. She is a lifetime member of the NAACP, APEX Museum, and Atlanta Business League. In 2001, Justine was named one of Georgia Trend Magazine's "Top 40 Under 40." In addition, Justine was recently featured in Atlanta Tribune Magazine as a "Bold! Dynamic! Powerful! Woman in Corporate America." In 1999, Justine was named one of the "10 Most Outstanding Young People in Atlanta."
