Fact
During the last five years, the WIT program has helped nearly 400 women move closer to economic sustainability.

Women in Transition and Supportive Housing
The Women in Transition (WIT) and Interim Housing programs provide quality temporary housing services for homeless women and their children. Qualified staff assist residents in creating individualized case plans to meet the goals and needs of their family. WIT advocates on behalf of each family and provides resources and referrals for long-term housing, healthcare, financial literacy, child care, job readiness and advanced employment and educational opportunities. The 18 month program also provides six months of quality aftercare services for clients who transition into self-sufficiency.

Health Screening & Education
ENCOREplus® is our national breast and cervical cancer initiative. As a community resource—providing medically underserved women—the program offers no and low-cost mammography screenings and pelvic examinations, and transportation to and from screening appointments. The Witness Project combats both breast and cervical cancer in the African American community in partnership with African American churches. The Witness Project is supported by the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer in parntnership with the Morehouse School of Medicine Prevention & Research Center (thewitnessprojectatlanta.org/) and (msm.edu/prc/).
