Fact
During the last five years, the WIT program has helped nearly 400 women move closer to economic sustainability.

Women in Transition and Supportive Housing
Women in Transition (WIT) is a transitional housing program that provides quality housing services for homeless women and their children. Qualified staff assists residents in creating individualized case plans to meet the goals and needs of their family. WIT advocates on behalf of each family and provides resources and referrals for long-term housing, healthcare, financial literacy, child care, job readiness and advanced employment and educational opportunities. The 18 month program also provides six months of quality aftercare services for clients who transition into self-sufficiency.

Women's Health & Wellness
ENCOREplus®is a national YWCA breast and cervical cancer awareness program.  As a community resource to underserved women, this program provides free education  workshops to women’s groups, neighborhoods, the faith community, and various worksites.  In addition to providing life saving educational programs, EncorePlus connects women to free and low-cost mammography and cervical screening locations throughout Metropolitan Atlanta.  The ultimate goal of EncorePlus is to reduce the mortality and morbidity rates among underserved women through education.  The EncorePlus program is supported by the Susan G. Komen For The Cure.  Breast cancer awareness programs can be scheduled by calling 404 835-1632.
